The game will take you into the times when aviation was in its dawning of existence – the primary Wright brothers machines went into the sky simply eleven years before the Great War! In Warplanes: WW1 Sky Aces you are taking management of over 30 historic airplanes – including the Fokker Dr.I, famous for its pilot Manfred von Richthofen a.k.a. “Red Baron”. Others stemming from mild fighters like the Airco DH.2 to an infinite 4-engine bomber just like the Sikorsky Ilya Muromets – all planes can be personalized and upgraded.
Choose between two modes fitted to different playstyles and skillsets. In Pilot Mode you'll find a way to simply focus on air combat, accumulating and upgrading planes. Squadron Leader Mode provides an additional layer to the gameplay – aside from combat, you also need to handle assets, rent and practice pilots and increase your base.
Two campaigns for Triple Entente and one for Central Powers will let you experience all major fronts of World War I – you’ll fly above most nations that participated within the battle in numerous kinds of mission. Pilot fighters and bombers. Protect or destroy floor targets. Face mighty zeppelins and anti plane artillery to change the tides of struggle.
